#54 save your gym socks for the gym

I like to buy different coffee all the time.  For the most part, every time I have tried a new coffee, it has been fairly palatable.  I think onion coffee was the worst up until this point.

Well people, we have a new winner.

I thought by the cute title and aroma that it was going to AT LEAST be at a mehish level....boy was I wrong!

Let start off with some positives first:

1. I look amazing
2. I made that mug

That's all I got... can't even get 3 positives...no bueno

Before I describe this awesomeness I need to show you my reaction...because sometimes words are not enough... although I will try with the word thing too.

This is what I really wanted to do

Because how, HOW?! can a company produce such a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE product and still be in business?!!?

Ok here it is. The company that makes this coffee brand is Brew La La. The "FLAVOR" is snickerkicker. or as I dubbed it, ODE DE LA GYM SOCK

I bought it for $4.99 (I paid too much). It looked really cute and had a good smell more or less.  I figured, sure why not?! I haven't tried a new coffee in too long! But OMGoodness. HORRIBLE.

I think what happened was, the company decided to play a big joke on it's customers and get a bunch of bark and sticks from the back of their homes, grind it up, and add some coffee "flavor" to it. And to get that flavor...oh that flavor...Imagine if you will, going to the gym, getting a good workout, putting your socks in a gym bag... the next day repeat with the same socks....FOR A MONTH...and THEN steep them for the flavor. THAT IS WHAT IT TASTES LIKE!!! It's like a musty, nasty UNEARTHLY taste. It HAS to be what they did because IT DOESN'T EVEN TASTE LIKE COFFEE!!!!

Did I mention is was THE WORST COFFEE I HAVE EVER OR WILL EVER HAVE!?!?!? Horrible.

And you know what the kicker is!?!? Here is their description of their company:
All of our products are created with what we like to call our ingredients for success: love, passion, creativity, joy and a great sense of humor all mixed into one.
Brew La La Coffee offers the perfect blend of delicious flavor with a creamy, rich and robust coffee. Our passion for sharing all things sweet and scrumptious has inspired us to create the perfect coffee blends to satisfy both your sweet tooth and your coffee cravings. The candy counter is now as close as your coffee cup. Now you can enjoy all of your favorite desserts minus the calories. Talk about guilt-free pleasures. The best part of everyday just got a little sweeter with Brew La La Coffee.

They got one thing right...SENSE OF HUMOR that they think this coffee is anything close to DELICIOUS. This could help with weight loss though, because it will easily induce vomiting. Good Times.

Ok ok enough, time for the Jess Rating:
Beyond disgusting, I literally wanted to throw up

And today I am thankful for:

Mouthwash!

#28 You put de cream in de coconut and drink dem bot up

COFFEE REVIEW DAY!!!!  Can I tell you how much I love coffee? Please? It actually has a physical effect on me...I think it's because I have an unhealthy addiction to it :) I'm actually serious...I drink WAY too much coffee. Well Monday I decided I really needed to run the coffee pot through the dishwasher since it had been a while since I really REALLY washed it...gross I know...leave me alone.Well I ended up not brewing any coffee OR buying any coffee since I didn't leave the premises of my home (Laundry and yard work day joy of joys) I had the most amazing headache all day. ALL FREAKIN' DAY! I tried as many pills that the doctor on the bottle recommended to no avail. Plus I was nauseous from combo of the coffee* the day before and weight watchers.  And NO I'm NOT PREGO! For the love why do you always assume I'm prego every time I'm sick!?!? :)

*Side Note:  I ran out of the coffee I am reviewing today so we combined it with some leftover 8O'clock that I should have thrown out after this review. Hubs unknowingly ground some and added it to the remaining pot. We felt sick ALL DAY. Stomaco no bueno y duele mucho. Check yeah I wrote espanol people. BOOMO.

So lesson I learned: Never stop drinking coffee, and never drink anything with a time on it's title :)

ON TO THE COFFEE OF THE DAY!!

I title this:
You put de cream in de coconut and drink dem bot up...

The mug of choice if from my College days at UMKC...as you can see the mug is very worn! That was the best side that wasn't totally rubbed off. Glad to see my college produces quality products that last... ha.  I do miss my college days a bit. I was on the track team...I BET YOU WILL NEVER GUESS WHAT I DID!?!??!  I'll give you a hint... I had to wear special shoes for the 3 different events I did...
Well I let you know at the end of this blog :) Now, ON TO THE COFFEE!!!

like my nails? that's how i roll
I bought a 12 oz package of Spice exchange Hawaiian Coconut medium roast at Marshalls (again) for $4.99!! I thought, if it was craptastic, at least it would be cheap! But it was so NOT craptastic! It was quite yummy! Not as potent as the last coffee I brewed, but it had a hint of coconut that made the whole thing just yummy yummy.  I really should go back to Marshalls and see if they have any more. I checked out the website on the package, but it looks like they don't make this coffee anymore. SAD FACE.

And what is the Jess Rating?
Two thumbs enthusiastically up! Drink em if you got em!

And what am I thankful for today?

#26 Patriotic Beanies and Such

COFFEE REVIEW DAY!!!!
I know it also feels like I haven't reviewed a coffee in ages and that's just silly....3 weeks is not AGES.

I title this one:
Beanies are BACK baby!

First I want to say that after looking at this picture....I'm going on a diet. Tomorrow. For REAL. The double chin flapping at me is distracting.  Second, my mug is this high tech plastic mug from the air force. It's pretty nifty. No I am not in the air force or have immediate family in the air force...but I feel like I'm supporting them every time I take a sip...Hubby got it back when we were living in Colorado at some convention or something....*sigh* Colorado.....so...pretty.......

ANYWHO I'm Über patriotic...actually not as patriotic as these guys....
<---------------------------------------------
Well ok I might wear that outfit to a Halloween party or something.... but I think you get my point! I actually don't ever let my American flag touch the ground. and Instead of disposing of my old flags that have torn or just worn out, I hang them in my garage because i don't think you should throw them out...I think there's a law or something against that? right?  So what I am trying to say is I support the Troops! haha!

Now. The Coffee.
SO. GOOD.
I found this coffee at Marshalls.  lol I know, MARSHALLS!!!  It's Beanies Amaretto Almond Roast & Ground Flavour Coffee. It was $5.99 for 4.4 oz....so it's a little more expensive than the normal fare I buy.  So worth it though. This stuff is DELICIOUS! I thought I was drinking something high calorie it was so good.  Apparently this coffee in made in the UK. lol So much for my patriotic theme! But since those guys are tea experts, how could they not make good coffee?! I've drank this several different ways...
  • Black:  Yummy with strong amaretto aroma. Not very bitter. Smooth.
  • With creamer and sugar: OMG my mouth is in heaven! Decadent! I am drinking a dessert!
  • Brewed with an unflavored coffee: Lovely. Tastes like a yummy flavored coffee that is not too strong.

So all around this coffee rocks my face off. I just wish I had more of it.

Jess Rating?
Crazy awesome you have to go and buy this NOW!!!

And what am I thankful for today?

#23 Drugs, Singles, Cats, Bieber, and Coffee

IT's COFFEE REVIEW DAY!!!!
Oh yeah, but first I was curious about where some of my traffic was coming from to my blog. As I looked up my stats on the google analytics I saw some interesting sites that were apparently referring urls. Can someone explain to me why BUYGENERICSFROMINDIA.COM, SINGLESCROWD.COM, CATDRINKINGSONGS.COM, and JUSTINBIEBERFANBLOG.COM are showing up as sites that people click before they click on my site? I HAD to investigate!!!
Definitions of referring URLS:
When a user clicks on a link in a web page, the user's browser moves to the specified link. When the browser requests the new page, it sends along the URL of the previous page. This "sent along" URL is called a referring URL.

Soooooo...... turns out YOU all clicked on those sites before coming to my site. Sheesh bunch of WEIRDOS! :) Apparently I attract the single, cheap-prescription, drug, Cat-song drinking, Bieber Fever- type of crowd...CHECK YEAH...(I'm secretly a little scared) No judgement, just AWARE now:)

Whatever, you all rock my face off! Not many people take to time to read my ramblings...BUT YOU DO!!! And in a way it makes sense that you all would find my blog amusing...I am not quite NORMAL either...haha

ON TO THE COFFEE!!!
I title this:
Yikes! Stripes! Strong flavored Coffee!
( fruit stripe gum song...anybody? anybody? early 90s anybody?)

So The mug is my fun hallmark mug I bought at a discount in Kansas City's Hallmark Headquarters. ( My sis-in-law works there and I got to shop in the "SPECIAL"store...it was awesome) I bought a bunch of mugs as gifts but kept this little gem for myself! It's ceramic but has a rubber top to go with it if you need to travel...or just kept a lid on it!

Now the cafe ole. I thought because i have had this brand of coffee before that it was going to be a winner winner...ended up being chicken dinner...if you know what I mean.  So I bought Caribou French Roast Bou-La-La.   Again, I LOVE the description of these coffee's. This once I sort of agree with though:
Our darkest coffee conveys smoky richness with flavors if bittersweet cocoa and a snap of tart apple
First and foremost, I have NO IDEA where they are coming up with the tart apple. I tasted nothing that resembled tart apple.
Second, they were half right when they said it was bittersweet. Just the bitter part, no Sweet. I had to add a butt-load of Steevia sugar to make that coffee tolerable for me to drink without reacting with twitches to the face...not hte best reaction you want ot have when drinking coffee.  It actually had a good flavor, but it was so strong that I couldn't focus on anything else.  AND this guys is like 9$ a back (12 oz) so it's a little more expensive.

Overall Jess Rating?
One Thumb Down...No Bueno for Yessica

And what am I thankful for today?

Whoever mad this:
